“We wanted somewhere close to the castle as we had a family wedding and what a find the Horseshoe and Castle was, the room was perfect in the private annexe with direct access from the car park, the room including the bathroom was clean and warm and had all the amenities we needed for a night away. The host was perfect with getting us early access to the room to change for the wedding. The breakfast was great hot and freshly cooked. We had a warm welcome and a comfortable stay and would recommend to anyone. Thanks for the hospitality”

“Stayed over night as were attending a wedding at Cooling Castle. Was made to feel very welcome as soon as we set foot through the doors. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Had dinner when we first arrived. Lovely menu with lots of choice. Delicious food all cooked fresh. Room was nice. Everything that you need for a nights stopover. TV, tea making facilities and hairdryer in the room. En-suite bathroom as we were in the annexe outside. Breakfast delicious all cooked to order. Cater for full english, various egg dishes, continental and vegetarian options.”

“Myself and my partner arrived on the Friday to attend a family members wedding across the road in the nearby cooling castle barn venue , on arrival we received the warmest of welcomes it didn’t take long for us to fall in love with the horseshoe and castle, that’s were it started , we later went on to attend the wedding which is within walking distance , we had a great night sleep in a comfy clean fresh made bed, followed by an amazing breakfast we then decided to stay another night and see out the weekend before Making the trip back into London back to the hustle and bustle of city life that the horseshoe and castle allows you to forget. We dined very well indeed was very hard not to food’s amazing here this place is well and truly a little gem. Warm, cosy, very friendly and attentive staff nothing being to much trouble we would highly recommend this wonderful place excellent 10/10.”
